What is Cloud Infrastructure Design?
Every application needs a backbone: the network it lives in, the load balancers that receive traffic, the compute it runs on, the storage it writes to and the identity rules that keep it safe. We design that backbone so it is secure by default, cheap to run at low traffic and ready to scale when demand arrives.
A typical design covers VPC and subnet layout across availability zones, application load balancers (ALB) for HTTP traffic and network load balancers (NLB) for TCP, gRPC or very high throughput, TLS termination and certificates, WAF and DDoS protection, private connectivity to databases, and IAM with least privilege. We build the same patterns on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
All of it is written as code with Terraform or Pulumi, reviewed in pull requests and applied through a pipeline. That means environments are reproducible, changes are auditable and a new region or a disaster recovery copy is a variable away rather than a project.
We also audit existing infrastructure: security posture, single points of failure, over provisioned resources and missing backups. Most audits find savings that pay for the engagement within a few months.
